This position provides work direction priorities to Environmental Team (2 Engineers and 1 Specialist) and will ensure that all reporting, permitting, and training requirements are met for their assigned area of environmental responsibility within the Oak Point Plant. This position has strong influencer responsibilities, a member of the HSE/OE/PSM Leadership Team, and Oak Point Extended Leadership Team member.Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to :Support the Plant by providing Environmental SME expertise and guidance to ensure day to day compliance with regulations and permit requirementsInteracts with site personnel, including but not limited to operations management and supervision, engineering, maintenance, operators, and contractors to discuss, resolve, and provide direction on environmental compliance issues.Conduct environmental reviews in support of the Management of Change process.Review project scopes and obtain required permits for the Plant, as needed.Manage monitoring and reporting requirements for compliance with the Plant's Title V operating permit.Confirms required LDAR monitoring is conducted, and data acquisition occurs, verify recordkeeping systems are implemented and records are maintained in order to meet both site standards and agency requirements.Manage stack testing and reporting requirements for compliance with the Plant Title V permit.Manage data collection and emissions reporting for Greenhouse Gas regulations and Reasonable Assurance ProgramComplete monthly/quarterly monitoring of key metrics related to environmental performance for internal corporate environmental sustainability reportingInterpret new and existing regulations, determine operational impacts, and implement compliance programs or regulations as required.Develop and provide facility training on environmental regulatory requirementsRepresent Oak Point during agency inspectionsParticipate in meetings before regulatory bodies, employees, and the public, as necessaryDevelop and deliver technical presentations to refinery management, industry, and government groupsRequired Qualifications5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing, refinery or other related industrial environment.Knowledge and practical application of EPA and LDEQ air regulations at an industrial facility.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word and ExcelDemonstrates a high commitment to safety and environmental compliance in actions and words at all times.Critical thinker and effective problem solver, self-motivated, highly skilled, and a team player.Strong computer skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skills.Ability to instruct on and interpret regulations to improve the transparency of environmental requirements to Team members and stakeholders.Work with consultants and contractors on projects with the goal of ensuring current and future complianceInnovative and results oriented, able to meet objectives despite obstacles.Preferred qualificationsBS in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science or related science fieldExperience as an environmental engineer, environmental coordinator, or environmental specialist assigned to a petrochemical process unit.5+ years of Air Quality permitting and/or compliance experience at a refinery or chemical plantRelocation OptionsRelocationmay beconsidered.International ConsiderationsExpatriate assignmentswill not beconsidered.Chevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.Special considerationsApplicant must be able to use current US work authorization or able to apply for TN or E-3 Visa (no new visa applications in other cases)Regulatory Disclosure for US Positions:Chevron is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
