Client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to be part of BD Diagnostic Systems' product development team. BD Diagnostic Systems is a global leader of products and instruments used for diagnosing infectious diseases. Our products are used in the clinical market to screen for microbial presence, grow and identify organisms, and test for antibiotic susceptibility. We are looking for someone who enjoys automating processes and systems, has solid experience with Windows, Networking, Azure DevOps, and a strong belief in keeping things simple. Some adjectives describing the infrastructure you'd develop: robust, simple, extensible, maintainable, understandable, and measurable.
Responsibilities:
• Assist teams in improving the test and production infrastructure needed to deploy applications vis CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) workflow.
• Manage and automate builds and deployments
• Maintain and improve existing server infrastructure environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve general IT and network tasks related to test, build, and deploy.
• Develop tools to automate common infrastructure tasks
• Develop automated monitoring of operating infrastructure
• Evaluate and provide recommendations for infrastructure technologies
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows environment & tools
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Power shell scripting
• Minimum 2 years of Git or other distributed version control systems
• Minimum 2 years of Visual Studio Team Services, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
• Experience working in a continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:
• Ability to leverage existing technologies to create simple, highly automated solutions with low maintenance overhead
• Working knowledge of Git or other distributed version control systems
• Working knowledge of Visual Studio Team Services or equivalent
• Networking administration, load balancing, firewall
• Experience with C# and .NET a plus
• Relational database experience a plus
• Test Driven Development concepts a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential
