Sr. Closer -- Remote

Job Summary:
We're seeking a diligent individual to join our team as a Senior Mortgage Closer. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth closing of residential mortgages, emphasizing compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include reviewing documentation, analyzing compliance requirements, and preparing accurate closing packages. This position demands a strong focus on quality and productivity, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality closing documents.
Pay Range: $16.31 - $22.87 - $29.44 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Review loan documents to ensure compliance with company standards
- Input required information accurately for closing packages
- Analyze disclosures for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with settlement agents and brokers to finalize closing processes
- Balance final figures for regulatory and company requirements
- Investigate and resolve loan issues, both internally and externally
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and internal policies
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in mortgage closing or similar roles
- Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, and/or VA products
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as Reg Z, RESPA, and GFE
- Experience with Renovation and/or Construction loans preferred
- Experience in New York and Texas markets a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Capacity to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly data entry
