As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the cost accounting function, which includes overseeing inventory accounting, conducting variance analysis, and implementing effective cost control measures. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will collaborate closely with other finance team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust cost accounting system, along with relevant policies and procedures. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and generate periodic reports that compare standard costs to actual production expenses. Work closely with operations to guarantee accurate and timely inventory accounting. Conduct variance analysis and diligently investigate the root causes of any discrepancies. Devise and execute cost control measures to optimize profits. Implement effective inventory control strategies to maintain ideal inventory levels. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review. Collaborate with other departments to ensure precise and timely financial reporting, fostering a cohesive work environment. Provide assistance with audits and participate in other financial projects as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
