Position Overview The Finance & Accounts team, located in Kennesaw, Georgia, is seeking a Sr Accountant. The person in this role will report to the Manager, Accounting R&D. The ideal candidate will be responsible for or month-end close, quarter/year-end reporting requirements, intercompany transactions, cash, fixed asset, and balance sheet reconciliations. This position will work with several tools, including many applications within SAP, OneStream, and Hyperion Financial Management.
Responsibilities: Supports the monthly close process, including journal entries and general ledger review Performs a variety of task to complete accounting functions in support of the department(s) Reconciles, researches, and resolves discrepancies with minimal assistance Prepares journal entries Prepares monthly account reconciliations via OneStream analysis tool Accountable for all aspects of fixed assets, including but not limited to monitoring a system of controls, procedures and forms for recording fixed assets Track the compilation of project cost into fixed asset accounts and close out projects once completed Suggests process improvement and system enhancements that will increase efficiency and/or mitigate risk for the organization; including support process documentation Work on special projects and analysis as needed, including assistance with any ad hoc reporting requests Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance Minium of 5 years of accounting experience Experience working within a large, multi-national company Knowledge of US GAAP Experience with SAP Proficiency with MS Office High level of motivation and dedicated individual Preferred Qualifications: CPA or CPA track highly preferred Fixed asset experience Cash reconciliation experience Experience with Hyperion Experience with international operations and foreign exchange What We Offer: Novelis' benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
