Sr Accountant (Hybrid Schedule)

An online retailer of women's apparel, accessories, home décor, and shoes is looking for a Sr Accountant to join their team. This company has $100m+ in revenues and their employees work a hybrid schedule with Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office.
 
Responsibilities The Senior Accountant will be responsible for reconciliation and reporting duties in the accounting department. Actively participate in financial management, accounting operations, and monthly closing process. Prepare monthly management reporting and financial reporting documents. Assist in the annual audit process. Work with the sales tax partner to ensure timely and accurate sales tax filings and reconciliations. Prepare monthly reconciliations for various accounts, such as Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Marketing Expenses, and other G&A expenses. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations. Post journal entries in the general ledger. Monitor Accounts Payable balance and daily activity, assist in assessing AP coding and general ledger reconciliations as needed. Assist in the month-end close process. Work on ad hoc projects as needed. Actively participate in the monthly Budget Vs Actual analysis. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3-5 years of Accounting experience (US GAAP) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong attention to detail Must be an independent thinker/problem solver with strong analytical skills Ability to identify the source of problems and develop solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working on a small team and willing to take on various roles and projects as needed Benefits Health, Dental, Vision with 80% of the employee and their family covered by employer 401k – 50% up to 6% contribution Hybrid Schedule
