Sr. Accountant Financial Reporting Location Industry, CA : The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting will assist with the financial reporting responsibilities by providing strong analytical skills and detailed level reports. The individual will ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the Company by collaborating with various departments and employees at all levels of the organization. This individual will facilitate the entire process of month end close, preparing important reports and financial statements by gathering and documenting data and reviewing reports for regulatory compliance, while creating efficiencies to better improve processes and procedures. Prepare journal entries associated with the month end close process and assist with preparing monthly financial statements Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. Maintains the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; prepares trial balance and reconciles entries. Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly internal reporting for parent company, and the senior leadership team. Prepare and review supporting disclosures and workpapers and coordinate quarterly and annual reviews and audits. Support timely and accurate preparation and filing of the Company's quarterly and annual financial statements, compilations, and reviews. Assist in the maintenance of internal control compliance as it relates to required financial controls and disclosures. Coordinate and work collaboratively across all teams, identifying best practices and process efficiencies. Perform other ad hoc job duties and projects as needed. Bachelor's degree or above in accounting is required At least 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, SEC reporting experience preferred Proficient in PC (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) ERP accounting system and SAP experience is a plus Working knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and internal controls Demonstrate strong analytical skills Good written and verbal communication skills Able to interact with all levels of employees supervisorrole : No. Mental Functions: Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department.
