Job Description The Sr. Employee Benefits (EB) Account Manager is charged with maintaining positive client relationships by actively supporting the Employee Benefit (EB) Consultants in providing customer service and renewal support for a select list of accounts that include larger and more complex accounts, including accounts with self-funded medical plans. This position will coordinate quality assurance activities and ensure Client Service staff are educated and informed regarding continuous improvement initiatives and activities. In addition, this position will provide mentorship to Client Services staff to ensure accurate and productive job performance.
Be a Benefits Expert : Maintain a strong working knowledge of group health plans, life and disability plans. Understand individual benefit plan counterparts. Research, acquire and apply group health and wellness information to specific client needs, keep abreast of industry trends and interpret the effect of changes in the market and regulations to clients' plans. Maintain a fundamental knowledge of regulatory compliance issues/mandates regarding insurance plans, administration, testing, and compliance.
Have a Client (Outward) Mindset: Take pride in and be good at understanding and working with clients to build strong long-term relationships.
Serve as point of contact and resource to, and in alliance with, the plan sponsor to field plan participant questions related to enrollment, coverage or other related questions.
Coordinate service and support activities with other staff and EB Consultants as appropriate. Refer complex or unique inquiries to EB Consultants or Sr. Director Client Support Services if necessary.
Work with Employee Benefits team to identify and resolve client conflicts and concerns. Implement solutions as identified and ensure future conflicts or concerns are minimized.

Manage Multiple Tasks: Apply sound time and project management to track, prioritize, and complete multiple assigned tasks in a busy environment with multiple distractions (phone calls, meetings, etc.).
Work Well with Others: Thrive in a team-based environment that involves working closely with coworkers to achieve client and internal objectives.
Think Independently: Apply expertise and creativity to craft client-specific solutions.
Be a Self-learner: Continually expand knowledge and expertise through self-directed research and study.
Minimum Requirements Education & Experience
Developing the competencies above typically involves formal education and real-world experience. At a minimum, we are looking for a high school degree, combined with at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in benefits administration or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree or Post-secondary education in business, human resources, finance or other related field may be used to substitute for the required experience on a year-for year basis.
Other Requirements
Because of occasional travel by vehicle and access to client sites and sensitive client information, we require you to have a safe driving record and pass a background check.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
You will work primarily in an office environment. Physical demands include frequent listening, talking, walking, sitting standing and lifting modest payloads (rarely more than 25lbs.), getting in and out of vehicles, typing on keyboards frequently, and operating a range of office equipment. You will travel locally by vehicle frequently, and within the state and out of the start by air occasionally.
Salary: $70,000-$105,000 DOE We're an  equal opportunity employer .
