Job Summary:
The Database Administrator / Developer creates SQL logic and other objects of varying complexity in support highly customized reports, data migrations, applications stored procedures, and production data issues troubleshooting and resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
· Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
· Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements.
· Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by the Database team lead.
· Assist in the planning, analysis, documentation, design and development, and production support for a major application and database.
· Support the team in analysis, design, development and testing of all required functionality iteratively, while incrementally developing a complete solution.
· Work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision, but also within a collaborative team environment.
· Perform problem analysis.
· Exhibit effective communications (verbal and written) are required to interface with customers and team members.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
· Strong working experience with Microsoft SQL Server (versions 2008, 2012, 2016, and above) to include:
o SQL/T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, cursors, and triggers
o Query performance optimization and SQL exceptions analysis
o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
o SQL Server Integrated Servers (SSIS)
o Data migrations/ETL
o Data normalization
· Familiarity with database design and implementation.
· Demonstrated ability to develop SQL logic and reports to documented requirements and specifications of varying complexity.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Desired Skills:
· Crystal Reports
· Experience with TOAD
· Microsoft Power BI
· Knowledge and Experience with Azure SQL
Minimum Education:
· Bachelor's Degree Required.
