Title: MS SQL Database Admin Location: Belleville MI Terms: Full Time Job Description: Technical/Functional Skills We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's SQL databases. They will work closely with development teams, IT support staff, and business stakeholders to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of our databases Experience Required 7+ years of experience in SQL database architecture, SQL database administration, including experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL. Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation. Experience with database security protocols and compliance with data privacy regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage onsite/offshore target operating model. Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization. Experience with PowerShell scripting is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCTS, MCSA) are desirable Roles & Responsibilities Design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability SQL databases using Availability Groups (AAG) Design, implement, and maintain our SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of a system failure. Monitor database performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and other issues as they arise. Develop and maintain database security protocols and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Work with development teams to design and implement new database structures, schema, and data models. Collaborate with IT support staff to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to database performance and availability. Create and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, backup and recovery procedures, and technical specifications. Perform database capacity planning and forecasting to ensure scalability and optimize system resources. Develop and maintain automated scripts for database administration tasks. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in database administration.
