Under the direction of the Sports Director and consistent with the mission of the YMCA of Greenville, the Sports Site Lead p lans and leads a range of individualized or group exercises/activity sessions for participants in a sports specialty area. The Sports Site Lead would provide guidance to participants and volunteers onsite at various locations. Assist program participants and volunteers while on location (i.e., answering questions, directing to the correct program area, etc.) Provide leadership onsite if emergency situations arise. Assist the Sports Director and Assistant Sports Director with monitoring and maintaining accurate records as it relates to all sport program areas. Assist the Sports Director and Assistant Sports Director with maintenance of equipment and inventory and program areas, as needed. Develops relationships for the advancement and promotion of the YMCA Sports Program. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers Attend/complete required abuse risk management training Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers Follow mandated reporting requirements Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities Knowledge of recreation, physical education or some related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of one year experience in youth sports, or leading/supervisor sports related sites . Experience working with youth of all ages. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Possess skills in relationship building e.g. excellent communication skills. Have a full understanding of YMCA philosophy and live, work and perform work duties in a manner consistent with such.
