Responsibilities
• Read work order and review job specs• Measure materials and select correct paper size and ply• Set up spiral paper tube winder by loading paper and preparing adhesive• Monitor machine closely to ensure quality standards• Troubleshoot minor issues and clear jams• Manage material inventory and alert personnel when supplies run low• Count or weigh products packed into cartons, print and apply labels• Cross-train in operation of other production equipment• Ensure safety compliance while operating machines• Give recycled materials a second life as beautiful packaging
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience with setting and operating spiral paper tube winders• High school diploma OR equivalent• Basic math calculations• Basic computer skills• Proficiency with rulers and calipers• Ability to lift 80 lbs• Ability to squat, lift items above shoulders, and stand throughout the shift• Significant mechanical aptitude• Strong attention to detail• Effective prioritization of multiple tasks• Team player who actively contributes
