Responsibilities
• Perform initial and ongoing client assessments• Apply appropriate goals and interventions to resolve identified problems• Provide Speech Therapy services according to physician orders and regulations• Notify physicians of changes in client status• Obtain appropriate modifications to equipment/environment to meet client needs• Provide teaching and instruction to promote physical and emotional health• Attend required staff meetings and case conferences• Contribute to coordination of services through effective communication• Maintain caseload and agency productivity standards• Respond to referrals to Speech Therapy and document care
Requirements
• Experience in Speech Therapy• Knowledge of communication disorders and dysphagia• Ability to assess and develop appropriate goals and interventions• Compliance with physician orders and regulations• Effective communication and collaboration skills• Ability to modify equipment/environment to meet client needs• Teaching and instruction skills• Attendance of staff meetings and case conferences• Strong organizational and time management skills• Documentation skills
