As the PK-12 Operations Accountant, your main responsibility will be to manage and organize the finances of the Division of Leadership, Teaching, and Learning. This includes researching and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and performing important accounting tasks.
Job Summary: Assist in developing and monitoring the annual budget. Document financial transactions by entering account information. Prepare balance sheets and other reports to summarize financial status. Audit documents to verify financial transactions. Create and recommend accounting policies and procedures to maintain accounting controls. Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis through research and data analysis, providing accurate financial information to Assistant Superintendents and other department leaders, and ensuring compliance with financial accounting standards and regulations. You will also assist with the coordination of accounting processes for special funded projects and grants.
Qualifications : College graduate with a major in accounting, business administration, or a related field. Three years of proven success in accounting with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis. Extensive skills in accounting and related fields. Ability to maintain the general accounting function. Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems. Salary: For salary information, please refer to pages 3-4 of the Management Personnel I-M agreement.
Work schedule: This is a 225-day contract position.
