Full job description Job Responsibilities : Develops, tests, and implements technology related programming across the system; teaches the use of new technologies to patrons of all ages (children to adult ) ; and provides off-site technology related programs to schools and community organizations. Shares resources and information with other libraries, educational organizations, social service agencies and the community.
Knowledge of : General knowledge of emerging technologies, and has the ability to troubleshoot the library's Programming (maker) Lab technology and devices. Knowledge of teaching/training program design and presentations.
Qualifications : Associate's degree in a STEAM-related field is preferred. One year of library, Makerspace, or technology instruction experience is desired or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record. As part of the interview process, candidates will be expected to present a brief demonstration of a presentation related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Other Skills and Abilities: Has the ability to think quickly on their feet and demonstrate adaptability in a given situation. Presents a positive, professional image; develops and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues; communicates effectively in written and oral form.
Working Conditions : Full-time. 40 hours per week.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required. Starting Pay Rate: $18.83 per hour ,corresponding with qualifications and experience. This position is full-time and includes full benefits including insurance, retirement, vacation and paid sick leave.
