The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) is a diverse, exciting, and prestigious research facility that plays a vital role in the study of the universe.The Observatory operates a variety of advanced radio telescopes.The VLBA Station Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Very Long Baseline Array Station.

Responsibilities
• Performing maintenance, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair work on the VLBA Station, including the 25-meter antenna.• Monitoring and maintaining all systems for proper operation.• Writing technical reports and developing documentation.• Providing staff prioritization, performance evaluation, mentoring, and conflict resolution.• Complying with NRAO and government safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Associate of Science degree or equivalent in Electronics.• Two years of experience in the Electronics or Electrical fields.• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.• Must be able to pass a security background check.
