Salt Lake Community College Position Title: Specialist II, Copier Tech/Driver (Part Time) Open Internally or Externally: External If faculty, tenure track status: Not Applicable Reports to (title): Manager-Printing Services Department: Printing Services-5M0 Requisition Number: P24218 Position Type: Replacement Job Category: Part-Time Staff - Variable FT/PT: Part-time Initial Work Location: Taylorsville Redwood Campus Starting Salary: $15.50-$16.24 Job Open Date: 05/06/2024 Job Close Date: Open Until Filled: Yes Priority Review Date: Job Summary: The Copiers Specialist is knowledgeable in all areas of networking and the following, so that they can consult with customers: IP addresses, basic copier troubleshooting, fax machine troubleshooting, data collection. The Copiers Specialist's time will be spent working mainly at the Redwood Campus, but will also need to pass the college's driving test to be able to deliver, pick up, and move equipment and supplies Essential Responsibilities and Duties: The Copiers Specialist will co-manage the fleet of over 200 machines across all campuses. They will handle all calls with regards to machine errors and supply needs, and will maintain a clean workspace on the production floor.
Other essential duties include: greeting customers, assisting them with copies, helping in production on auxiliary equipment (binding, envelope printing, etc.), collecting meter reads, collecting revenue from coin-operated machines, and reporting to the accounting technician with regards to machine changes.Keeping the production area of Printing Services clean and organized. Following inventory guidelines for maintaining par level of supplies. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued: Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent education.
Must have 1 year of experience with digital printing equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Ideal candidate must have: a positive and friendly approach to people, an ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment, a great attention to detail, and must be flexible with workflow changes. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience is required with: using copiers and printers, utilizing the Adobe and Microsoft suites of software, working closely with customers and other production team members.Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.
