The Department of Financial Services, Division of Accounting Services has an opening for a Fiscal Specialist in Franklin County.
This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine(9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.
Characteristics of the Job: Positions will require communication with elected officials such as Justices, Judges and Circuit Court Clerks, as well as all other KCOJ employees. We strive to provide top notch customer service. These positions will involve a substantial amount of data processing. The candidate selected for this position must have the ability to understand and apply policies and procedures. Training will be provided.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Utilize eMARS, the statewide Accounting Software system, to reconcile and enter accounting records. Perform data analysis and reconciliation requiring a critical degree of accuracy and efficiency. High level or research and data inquiry to resolve data issues. Ability to execute multiple functions and provide a high level of productivity to meet daily/monthly goals. Work with all levels of clientele in a professional and courteous manner ensuring excellent communication skills. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have 1 year experience as a KCOJ security technician specialist
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: High School Diploma and 3 years job related experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Excellent work ethic who is self-efficient. Show initiative and be a team player ensuring success within the division. High level of attention to detail. Great Customer Service skills.
