Job Title: Special Events Assistant
Position Reports to Resort Manager, Assistant Resort Manager, and Special Events Coordinator
Pay Range: $15-$18 per hour depending on experience

Job Summary: Responsible for facilitation of all aspects of on-site activities, weddings, seminars, workshops, and member activities. Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and reservations to provide a successful outcome. Collect fees and confirm event dates with staff and guests. Attend to guests' needs in a professional manner with a high level of integrity and service. Provide general event support in planning, coordination, and implementing events, programs, and ceremonies as assigned, including resort-wide special events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the Resort's Events Coordinator with events, programs, and ceremonies.Book/Tour all wedding parties/potentialsPrepare Wedding packetsSign and organize Contracts/AgreementsSet-up and clean-up of weddingsBook Special EventsMake sure all events get paid forHelp with huntingDecorating Main Lodge for HolidaysKids ActivitiesAssist with the event websites, social media, phones, and email conferencesPerform other job-related duties and special projects as assignedPrepare layout diagrams, oversee setup and break-downProcessing special requests, interacting with clients, meeting and exceeding expectationsResolve problems or issues and troubleshoot as neededSchedules meetings, prepares agenda, takes notes prepares and distributes post-meeting reportsFollows up on action itemsPrepare event estimates and final salesPersonal Characteristics: High energy level with great communication skills. Great time management. Must be well organized with the ability to get along with diverse personalities. Have the ability to deal professionally with other staff members, guests, board members, and the public.
