Special Education Teacher

The Birch Agency has an *immediate *job opportunity for a *Special Education Teacher *who is seeking a change of pace, and something outside the typical classroom. This ESE teaching position starts now (flexible) and runs through the end of June 2024, and next school year and possibly longer!
We need someone who can start by the end of May 2024 (or sooner) and work full-time through the month of June.
*Educational and Certification Requirements*
* Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, and/or similar.
* Certified to teach special education (general curriculum)
* Professional teaching licensure through South Carolina Board of Education (SCBOE)
*Job Details*
* 40- hours per week.
* May and June (summer school)
* Unique Learning model.
* Individualized approach.
* No two students are alike and learn the same way.
* ESE teacher is not responsible to testing.
* Provide special education services to students at-risk.
* Assist with compensatory learning time.
* Grade levels include 9th through 12th graders
* Age level is up to 21 years of age.
* Focus on goals to graduation.
* Provide a safe and educational learning environment.
* Communicate with parents, families, school staff and Administrators.
