Responsibilities
• Adapts classroom activities, assignments, and materials to support classroom objectives• Administers first aid and medical assistance as instructed by healthcare professional• Applies and removes physical therapy appliances as instructed• Assists students in accessing electronic communication devices• Assists students in and out of wheelchairs and during transportation• Assists with pre-lunch and lunch activities• Attends meetings and in-service presentations• Communicates with instructional staff and support personnel• Maintains instructional materials and records• Monitors students with disabilities in various school environments• Participates in implementing IEP goals and student behavior plans• Performs clerical tasks• Provides instruction to students in various activities
Requirements
• High School Diploma• Must pass Para-Professional Praxis Test• Must pass FBI/TBI Background Check
