GDIT has opportunities available for compassionate and caring people to support individuals and families during times of crisis at our National Assistance Center. In this critical support role, you will provide guidance, information, and assistance in an inbound contact center environment supporting individuals, families, and businesses that have been impacted by recent events. Join our team to make an impact supporting your neighbors as they navigate through difficult and challenging situations. Work Helping Others as a Contact Center Agent
We are looking to hire contact center agents to work in these critical support roles. You must have flexible work hours and be willing to work a variety of shifts . You will also need access to 10 Mbps of download speed and 1 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth (satellite provided internet service will not qualify). Onsite training will be provided. Training and work associated with this position is performed physically onsite at our facility in New Orleans, LA. Employees may be allowed to work remotely upon successful completion of training, including OJT. A Day in the Life of a Contact Center Agent: Impact the lives of others, by providing support to help individuals and families Follow call guides to gather, enter and verify information to provide necessary assistance to aid in recovery Adhere to established customer service and documentation standards necessary to provide the level of support required Attend telephone skills and program information training sessions addressing policies, procedures, and the handling of confidential information related to personal information As a well-qualified candidate, YOU are: Compassionate and empathetic with a passion for helping others A proactive agent for change, with a passion for providing world-class customer service Energetic and enthusiastic with a desire to achieve high levels of success Able to thrive in a high-energy demanding environment that requires a sense of urgency Currently living within a reasonable commuting distance (~60 miles) of the worksite ( New Orleans, LA . ) Required Qualifications
To ensure adequate staffing levels and response times, r egular and timely attendance related to assigned work schedules including breaks and lunches is REQUIRED. High school diploma or equivalent; AND Ability to speak, read, and write both English and Spanish fluently Access to 10 Mbps of download speed and 1 Mbps of upload speed of dedicated internet bandwidth (satellite provided internet service will not qualify) Ability to work remotely (from the comfort of your own home) in a quiet work environment free from distraction Flexible availability and willingness to work any shift as the program operates 24/7 Experience working with fax machines, computer software, and telephone technology Outstanding interpersonal skills Ability to successfully complete GDIT pre-employment screening (includes a criminal background check and drug test) US Citizenship Louisiaina residency Work environment: Full time On-site, remote

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $12.55 - $20.84. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
