This is a role that provides the opportunity to identify and execute value-driven strategies across many functions, regions, and businesses. These strategies will leverage Medtronic's global scale to drive year over year value within the MRO Industrial Supplies and Services sub-categories. Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.To learn more about Inclusion & Diversity at Medtronic Click HereA Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Identify strategies across subcategories of the MRO Industrial Supplies and Services portfolio that utilize multiple levers/approaches to drive valueWork independently and build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers Work with Sourcing Systems team to ensure internal purchase catalogs are continuously updated to support guided buying processes reflective of broader category strategyEngage and influence multiple stakeholders to create and implement strategies; Medtronic is a highly matrixed organization and having the ability to influence and leverage the matrix is a key requirementDevelop and implement sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantageGather market intelligence and trends for relevant categories and associated subcategories Achieve (year-on-year) value improvements for all aspects of quality, service, innovation, and costPerform RF(x) events to drive competitive pressure and ensure maximum value is realizedPartner closely with key functions that support supply management (e.g., legal, finance, quality/compliance)Assist in Supplier Stratification activities and develop capability roadmapsLead contract negotiationsRecommend solutions to business problems and/or identify opportunities for improvement, and present ideas to leadershipEducate on key indirect supply management initiatives and policiesDevelop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and support development of baseline for sourcing cost reduction effortsIdentify insourcing and outsourcing opportunitiesEstablish and support a work environment of continuous improvementDemonstrated experience in building and executing successful category strategies in the MRO/Operations spaceHighly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BICritical thinkingDemonstrated leadership, customer service, problem solving, communication, negotiation, tact, judgment, and organizational skillsDemonstrated strength in analytical skillsHigh attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communicationMust Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree requiredMinimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experienceNice to HaveGlobal Category Management experience (Strategy Development and Execution in accordance to Strategic Sourcing methodology)Knowledge of working in FDA regulated industriesAbility to partner with and influence internal technical expertsInfluencing teams and external suppliers to deliver results Strong program management skills Solid business and legal acumenPositive and energetic team player with strong cross-functional team experienceAbout MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
