Job Description: About SommPicks:
SommPicks is an online-only wine merchant specializing in fine, rare and geeky wines. We are a young, highly motivated team looking for the right person to join us in our Daly City, CA location.
About the Position:
You will be assisting our Cellar Manager with all warehouse operations and logistics including all inbound and outbound shipments, and daily pick and pack.
Duties and responsibilities will include (but aren't limited to!):
- Inbounding, organizing and inspecting wine
- Preparing, picking, packing and shipping orders
- Implementing controls to avoid mispicks and loss/damage
- Auditing inventory
- Assisting with palletizing large orders
- Organizing and labeling boxes for pickup
- Wine photography as needed
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Additional areas for advancement based on experience and interest!
Requirements:
- Reliable, hardworking and detail oriented
- Preferred experience in logistics/warehouse operations in wine or a related industry
- Experience with inventory control
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to take instruction
- Ability to lift 50 lbs multiple times daily in a cool climate
- Ability to work M-F; 9AM-5PM (weekends and holidays not required)
- Resourceful, flexible and self-directed
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Gmail, plus ability to quickly learn new systems (shipping software, order management software, etc.)
