What You'll Do in This Position
Purpose of Position
Oversee the planning, implementation, and execution of the Oracle PeopleSoft and other ERP software projects. Strong background in project management, with extensive knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft applications and ERP systems. Responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope and quality standards.
Major Responsibilities
1. Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of Oracle PeopleSoft and other ERP software projects from initiation to closure.
2. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and requirements.
3. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and oversee project resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
4. Manage cross-functional project teams, including internal staff, external consultants, and vendors, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
5. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
6. Monitor project progress and performance metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors.
7. Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, best practices, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and training sessions to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and promote user adoption of Oracle PeopleSoft and other ERP solutions.
9. Manage change requests and scope changes, and assess their impact on project timelines, budgets, and resources.
10. Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.
11. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Oracle PeopleSoft and other industry leading ERP systems and provide recommendations for system enhancements and optimizations.
12. Analyze complex business and technical problems for solution through electronic data processing and computer software.
13. Develop or collect system requirements and design needs from business owners and managers for moderately complex critical business software needs.
14. Document detailed description of user requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Complete complex software development methodologies, testing, design, and implementation.
15. Provide a direct communication and interface between the software business system users and the database administrators and software developers to provide a solution for the continual operations and improvement of the critical process.
16. Work with software developers to develop creative and cost-effective solutions to complex business problems.
17. Communicate on moderately complex problems and systematic solutions at senior and executive management levels.
18. Prepare and present accomplishments and methodologies at offsite workshops and webinars sharing knowledge with peer groups both at and off site.
19. Develop, implement, and manage innovative software solutions to enhance the company's cost effectiveness, reduce risk, and maintain federal requirements in the Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Project Controls and Human Resource Business Areas.
20. Direct and act as the Design Authority for specific Business Area Owned ERP Business Systems activities to ensure compliance with Company policies, DOE prime contract requirements, and DOE directives (DOE Orders, DOE Letters, etc.).
21. Develop, document, and clearly present concepts and detailed plans for applications activities in a manner which gains acceptance and enthusiastic support from Senior Management, DOE-SR, DOE-HQ, other SRS departments and the public as applicable. This often involves intense persuasive negotiating to achieve acceptance from the customers. It also involves prioritizing components such that emphasis is put on the most important aspects of a given plan or activity.
22. Must be able to interact with site users (customers) to develop optimum, mutually agreed upon solutions to technical problems while promoting IT computing standards. Intense negotiation and persuasion is often needed to convince customers why a given path is best for overall Site.
23. Must effectively communicate with supplying vendors' management, customers (DOE, Site Prime Contractors, stakeholders, business partners, etc.) negotiating agreements, reviewing performance, and resolving differences for a cost-effective applications portfolio.
24. Must be especially persuasive to maintain dedication and commitment from numerous activity participants who are not direct reports.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
Qualifications We Desire
Experience managing complex ERP projects, including full lifecycle implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
PMP certification or other relevant certifications is a plus. Prior experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft applications and ERP systems in a project management capacity is highly desirable. What We Offer
