ABOUT YOU
The Software Engineer Team Lead is a skilled and experienced software developer who serves as a technical expert in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software or enhancements to existing software. They also lead and coordinate a team of other software developers on assigned projects.
You serve both the administrators at the 900+ organizations we work with across the US, and the administrators' customers, or end-users.
WHERE YOU FIT
As a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, you will work with offshore teams as their leader. Contributing to architectural discussions and implementing critical modules to accelerate the delivery of Xpress Bill Pay products.
You will implement full-stack solutions with a strength in front-end architecture and design. While working with all team members on the product, you will be a technical expert, providing mentorship to these team members.
You will work in the product development team and, as a result, have daily exposure to a range of technical challenges and customer experiences which will stretch and develop your skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the development of our SaaS platform, primarily built upon ASP.NET Web API, .NET Core, Angular JS and MySQL and SQL Server Analyze complex system and business requirements Act as team leader for offshore teams providing code reviews, unit testing, and improve software development practices Mentor other team members to constantly grow capabilities within your team Optimize client- and server-side applications to maximize speed and scale Learn the business domain to help create efficient solutions with team members Work with a cross-functional team to include software and QA engineers, product management, and operations REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years developing enterprise software Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, or related field of study, or an additional 2 years of software development experience Ability to work as a team player Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Independent thinker with creative, resourceful, and proactive problem-solving skills Track record of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers across departments (QA, Development, PM, UX, etc.) Experience developing software with C#, Angular JS and the .NET Framework Experience in service-oriented architectures or micro-services Experience with relational databases, My SQL and SQL Server preferred Experience and understanding of software source control systems, preferably Git Strong and demonstrable experience working in continuous integration and continuous deployment systems (CI/CD) Experience working with offshore development teams Must have ability to understand and adhere to Xpress Bill Pay Company policies and procedures including security and confidentiality policies. Because of Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards (DSS), this is NOT a remote job for the first 6 to 12 months; you must come to work at 108 South 700 East, American Fork, Utah 84003—just across the street and southwest of Jack & Jill Bowling Lanes.
REMOTE WORK
After 6 to 12 months of employment, you may qualify to work remotely now and then based on your job performance.
HOURS
A typical workday would be Monday through Friday, with the expectation that after-hour and late shifts will be required as needed for software deployments.
