DESCRIPTION The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive SDE to play pivotal role in the development of industry-leading conversational assistant capabilities using latest techniques like fine tuning, ICL (In Context Learning) and various prompt optimization techniques.
Key job responsibilities
• Design, implement, and deploy software components and features. Employ a strong understanding of design approaches (and how to best use them).
• Work independently and with your team to deliver software successfully.
• Deliver work that is of a high quality (e.g., secure, testable , maintainable, low-defects, efficient, etc.) and incorporates best practices.
• Ensure that code reviews are rapid and uneventful. You provide useful code reviews for changes submitted by others.
• Focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve your team's software, making it better and easier to maintain.
• Make improvements to your team's development and testing processes.
• Establish good working relationships with peers. You recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.
• Confidently train new team-mates about your customers, what your team's software does, how it is constructed, tested, operates, and how it fits into the bigger picture.
A day in the life
As an SDE with the AGI team, you will be involved in a blend of designing, implementing, and deploying software components and features while adhering to best design practices.
You will work directly with science team building the next generation of Conversational Assistant agents using LLMs and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI). You'll work independently and collaboratively with your team to deliver high-quality software, meeting company standards for security, testability, maintainability, and efficiency. Conducting rapid code reviews and prioritizing operational excellence, you focus on identifying and resolving issues, while driving projects to enhance software quality and efficiency. Committed to continuous improvement, you refine development processes and build positive relationships with peers through constructive dialogue. Bellevue, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
