JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Provides high-level expertise in developing complex SharePoint 2016 applications, SharePoint Online applications, as well as other platforms employed by NSF. Defines functional requirements based on business needs, produces and maintains detailed technical documentation, and provides user support on technical issues.
Serves as software developer responsible for planning the migration of existing website to a new platform/application. Oversees developing, and deploying websites including preparation of text, graphics, audio, and video for web pages. Works directly with partners and clients to determine project specifications. Creates and manages schedule for migration activities. Coordinates the work of design and development staff to implement online designs. Reviews progress, manages resources, and ensures overall quality of completed website. Typically requires experience in management and understanding of web technologies.
Environment includes web application servers, database servers, programming and code management (Subversion, JIRA), and performance testing (MS Visual Studio).
Required Qualifications/Education/Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of SharePoint development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years working in an agile software development environment.
• Demonstrated experience transitioning an agency or customer from SharePoint to Microsoft 365 or another software platform.
