Daydreamer Coffee, a new Austin coffee brand coming soon to the Drag in Austin, Texas, is seeking a smart, creative and digitally savvy social media intern to join our team. This dynamic position will own all content creation and social media publication for the Daydreamer brand. This is a hands-on, paid internship with a flexible schedule requiring 5-10 hours per week.
Located in the leasing office for the Waterloo Tower apartments, and eventually serving Waterloo Tower itself, Daydreamer will serve up student's coffee favorites. Created by Lincoln Ventures, the real estate development firm that brought The Ruckus, Ruckus 2.0, Moontower and Waterloo to West Campus, you will work alongside the firm's marketing and leasing staff to help launch and grow this exciting new concept.
This internship will help prepare you for a career in social media marketing by offering exposure to branding projects, content calendar creation, and hand-on experience managing a growing coffee brand.

Job Responsibilities Lead all content creation, scheduling and engagement for Daydreamer Coffee social media accounts
Create monthly and weekly editorial calendars
Publish unique content, engage with followers on social media channels to drive brand awareness and engagement
Take and edit photos and videos to be used on Daydreamer social media channels
Work with our in-house video producer to conceptualize and produce videos for social media
Implement strategies that grow our following, engage, and retain them, and help convert them into customers
Create and distribute audience-specific content such as photos, graphics, and videos
Track and report social media engagement and follower growth metrics
Stay up to date on social media trends and new content formats
Requirements Qualifications Current college student in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Photography, Journalism or related fields of study Skilled photographer and editor; video editing or graphic design skills a plus Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator and/or Canva Proficient with Later, Hootsuite or other social media scheduling tools Experience running social media for a nonprofit or business preferable but not required Fluent in the English language, its rules and proper usage Strong grasp of major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter Skills Energetic self-starter who can work well in a small team and independently Web savvy, skilled internet researcher Excellent organizational/time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines Prioritizes work and asks for direction when overwhelmed or uncertain Benefits This paid internship will run from August 2021 to December 2021 with the possibility to continue into the spring. The internship will be approximately 5-10 hours per week. Pay is $15 per hour.
