As a Social Media Manager at Smoke Before Fire, you'll own the actions and behaviors of our brands on social: From posting/scheduling, cultivating relationships with influencers, developing content with the team, building an engaged base, and managing our social channels day-to-day.
This role involves both creative strategy and execution.
You must be comfortable drafting detailed social analytics presentations one minute and contributing to creative brainstorms and coming up with ideas the next!
What You'll Do:
Shape the Digital Landscape:
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Account Team, Art Directors, and Clients, to craft an innovative content strategy and calendar.
Creative Collaboration:
Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas that resonate with our audience.
Own the Calendar:
Create and manage monthly content calendars for multiple brands, ensuring a consistent and compelling online presence.
Content Curator:
Collaborate with Art Directors and Photographers to bring content ideas to life to deliver on Client goals and social KPIs.
Build Community:
Manage and engage with our social audiences in real-time, while proactively engaging with likeminded brands and influencers to strengthen our social ecosystem.
Manage Paid Spends:
Work with our Social Strategist to develop and oversee ad sets and ad spends to drive meaningful results.
The Swiss Army Knife:
Display a holistic understanding of everything from social strategy to execution, ad spending to budget management and insightful reporting. Know what's going on in the world of social... what campaigns/brands have impressed? What about total failures? Our ideal candidate can name a few.

2-5 years of
social media experience
in an agency setting, where creativity and strategy collide.
A self-driven , detail-oriented personality with a knack for teamwork.
A solid
knowledge of social media platforms
and the ability to engage with people
A track record of building awareness, engagement, and fandom in niche communities.
A creative and analytical mindset
that drives the success of campaigns, while understanding how to interpret results and improve.
A
test-and-learn mentality
that keeps us at the forefront of digital trends.
Experience with the reporting platforms and a solid understanding of other effective social media tools – with an appetite for exploring new ones.
Strong copywriting skills and the ability to capture the brand's tone of voice
in social community management.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Basic photo and video editing skills, with comfort in using Photoshop and Lightroom. A background in photography and videography is a ++++!!!
Well-traveled interests and a worldly knowledge of culture, coupled with impeccable taste.
