To this end, our Sustainability & Social Impact Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating and advancing impact programs for The Synergy Company. In collaboration with the Director of People & Sustainability, this position works cross-functionally to understand business impacts and needs, and to provide information and tools related to social and environmental responsibility. From data collection and reporting to facilitation and stakeholder engagement, the Sustainability & Social Impact Coordinator contributes to many dimensions of Synergy's enduring commitment to nurture the health and well-being of people, place, and planet.
Pay and Benefits:

The Sustainability and Social Impact Coordinator can expect to earn an annual salary of $62,591.67 to $90,132.00, depending on experience, and enjoy a full time schedule, working around core business hours (Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:30), with some flexibility. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong quantitative and analytical skills including intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient use of Excel is a must.
Familiarity with Sustainability/ESG data collection, management, and reporting software is a plus.
Familiarity with data reporting frameworks and disclosure requirements such as the GHG Protocol, GRI, ISSB, CSRD, SASB, TFCD. Note: The Synergy Company is privately owned and not currently subject to any disclosure requirements outside of B Corp certification.
Awareness of emerging trends and best practices for sustainable and regenerative business, including key components of corporate social responsibility.
Experience in organizational culture, diversity and inclusion, and/or employee wellness a plus.
Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to identify task opportunities and needs.
Experience facilitating cross-functional, interdisciplinary projects and group efforts.
Ability to learn about emerging topics through research, and educate others as needed.
Legislative and regulatory knowledge a plus.
Most importantly, a personal interest and ability to continually learn, grow, and challenge oneself towards the fulfillment of individual and company purpose.
Education/Licensure/Certification and Experience
BS/BA degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, Data Science, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Two or more years of business experience in ESG, Sustainability, CSR, or Social Impact related work.
A combination of education and demonstrated, related work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to read, write, speak, listen, and comprehend English proficiently as to enable the safe and effective performance of the job.
A background check will be required.
