The Samsung SOC Architecture Lab vision provides innovative SoC architecture, bus / memory subsystem, multimedia subsystems and key IP blocks for future Samsung Galaxy products (Smartphones, tablets and future devices). We are defining the high performance SoC architecture development for various Galaxy device lineups. This lab collaborates with Samsung's strategic SoC partners, Samsung MX headquarter team, and key R&D teams around the globe to innovate and reinvent technology that will positively impact millions of people around the world via the Galaxy flagship products.
Position Summary:
We are looking for AR/VR architect with knowledge of algorithms and Display pipeline to lead development of Display subsystem architecture and algorithm development in next generation SOCs. This is a highly visible hands-on role leading individual and team contributions to Display sub-system architecture, interface, performance, and power tradeoffs.
Position Responsibilities:
Identify and deliver Display subsystem architecture proposals and best-in-class imaging algorithms for products in new and existing markets
Perform high-level performance modeling/simulation and analysis in MATLAB of Display features, algorithms, applications, benchmarks, and complex uses cases
Guide development of innovative Display pipeline Architectural features to boost display KPIs for targeted workloads in next generation SOCs
Ability to abstract various image [camera and display] algorithms mathematically and develop new algorithms that are competitive with the state of art technology
Good knowledge of XR algorithms across computer vision, graphics, camera, and Display. Perform analysis and SoC decomposition of XR algorithms
Required Skills:
BSc, Masters or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
15+ years of experience in algorithm design, architecture, and analysis experience
Prior direct experience in Camera and Display subsystem architecture for AR/VR device
High proficiency in algorithm analysis and modeling, including SoC level analytical models, especially around Imaging and Display
Leadership across hardware, software, and platform groups to align all parties to a common vision

Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role's function and location as well as the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
