Job DescriptionThe VirginiaMaryland College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Small Animal Veterinary Technician/Floater. The position provides technical support to clinical faculty and senior veterinary students in the medical sections of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, including ward and treatment room management, administering treatments and medications ordered by clinical faculty. Special nursing care procedures may include special diagnostic procedures, infection control/isolation management. Performs critical care nursing procedures in the ICU as directed by clinical faculty and instructs senior veterinary students in technical and manipulative skills related to ICU/Critical Care. On call for ICU coverage and covers ICU shifts including holidays.
