St. Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) is currently seeking anon-academic 3-month temporary position, at 30-40 hours per week, at the University of Minnesota. This position is specifically for astormwater research group and the projects relate to capture and release of pollutants from stormwater ponds, biofiltration media, and ironenhanced sand filters. Job duties include indoor laboratory (~90%) and outdoor field experiments (~10%) including sample analysis by wetchemistry and auto-analysis techniques, column experiments, sample collection, parameter measurement, experiment setup and operation, datacollection and recording, cleanup, acid washing glass and plasticware, protocol development and execution, field measurement and monitoring,and other duties necessary to complete the research. 
These activities require moving and carrying equipment, instruments, samplers,and samples between experiments and analytical laboratory spaces. These activities may also require standing and moving while completinganalysis methods. Qualifications Required and preferred qualifications High-school diploma orequivalent. Science and/or engineering background including water resources, environmental science or engineering background with abachelor's degree preferred.  Research and water chemistry analysis experience will be given special consideration.
