As the Shop Foreman , you will train employees; monitor work activity; work with the Facility Manager, clients and customers; order supplies, and fix equipment as needed.
Some of your daily responsibilities include: Provide employee training. Create and manage employee schedule. Oversee daily work of employees. Assign duties to shop workers. Review work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards. Enforce all health and safety policies in the shop. Ensure that all deadlines are met. Assist employees in on-site health or safety emergencies. Address and resolve customer issues and complaints. Inspect and clean shop equipment. Fix equipment and machinery as necessary. Order Shop supplies as needed. Operate shop machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment. Ensure that shop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material. What are we looking for in a great Shop Foreman: Demonstrates strong leadership skills. Possesses detailed knowledge of Manufacturing facility. Works well with a team. Exhibits strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Possesses solid analytical and problem solving abilities. Demonstrates awareness of all health and safety protocols. Is able to remain calm and clear-headed in an emergency. Excel, Word and Outlook Software knowledge Manages time efficiently. Is able to multi-task effectively. Pays attention to detail. Demonstrates strong organizational skills. Is able to read and interpret work orders and blueprints. Communicates clearly and effectively. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) Excel, Word and Outlook Software knowledge 4 + years of Manufacturing experience 2 + years of Supervisory experience OR Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Able to lift up to 50 lbs., bending, crawling and being on feet for 8 plus hours per work day.
