Job Summary: Shop Assistants assist machinists with routine machining tasks. They do a variety of tasks to support the shop in its daily operation. You will be deburring (smoothing mfg parts), assembling parts, working with composites, and more. This is a great entry level position to learn CNC Machining with a company dedicated to training and career development of their employees!
Key Responsibilities: The main focus of this position is to deburr (smooth and remove sharp points and edges) the finished parts that come out of the CNC machine. Maintain shop areas including removing trash and sweeping Assist others in machine shop Cut materials and deburr (sand and smooth out rough edges) parts coming out of CNC machine Move materials to/from storage or production areas or delivery vehicles by hand or using forklift Mark and identify material Additional Responsibilities: Strong work ethic with attention to attendance and punctuality Reliable and strong team player Hard worker Eager to learn and grow professionally.
