Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping/Receiving Worker to join our team. As a Shipping/Receiving Worker, you will be responsible for daily shipping, receiving, inventory count, and general warehouse support. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations at the branch level. This position reports to the Branch Manager and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Spokane, WA
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (DOE)
Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
Process packing slips and perform daily shipping and receiving tasks
Stock shelves and pull parts for shipment
Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality
Assist with loading and unloading products from delivery trucks
Familiarize yourself with shipping vendor software and associated paperwork
Perform basic inquiries into the ERP system
Complete daily forklift maintenance checklist and ensure scheduled maintenance activities are completed on time
Serve as a backup driver for deliveries, maintaining an accurate delivery log and performing vehicle maintenance
Monitor inventory levels and perform cycle counts
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Inform supervisor of any defective or faulty equipment or material
Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of this job classification
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level
Previous experience within a warehouse environment is preferred
Ability to operate a forklift
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Proactive and able to take ownership of work
Organized and able to maintain a clean work area
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1 to 2 years of previous experience in warehousing or customer service roles
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
