The Shipping & Receiving Inspection Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments within a warehouse or distribution center. They are responsible for conducting detailed inspections of materials, products, and packaging to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Packing and Boxing: • Box items according to packing slips and customer specifications.• Properly label packages with accurate shipping information.• Utilize appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.• Maintain organized packing areas to facilitate efficient workflow. Quality Control: • Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.• Verify product specifications and packaging requirements against packing slips.• Ensure all products meet quality standards before shipping.• Identify and report any deviations or discrepancies in quality to the appropriate personnel. Shipping: • Coordinate shipping schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.• Reviewing, adjusting, and disputing all invoices related to shipping.• Prepare shipping documents and labels accurately.• Arrange transportation and logistics for all outgoing shipments.• Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments as well as negotiating best rates. Receiving: • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing lists.• Inspect received items for damage and report discrepancies.• Organize and store incoming inventory in designated locations.• Update inventory records in the system to reflect received items accurately. Inventory Management: • Monitor inventory levels for Shipping & Receiving, Print, Production, Installation, Office, and notify relevant departments of low stock.• Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records in the system. Compliance and Safety: • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the workplace.• Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving procedures.• Maintain cleanliness and organization in shipping/receiving areas.• Report any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly.Qualifications: Qualifications: • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is desirable. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).• Stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.• Willingness to work in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.About Company: Our Story Our journey started in 2002 when three entrepreneurs founded our company in a modest 1500 sq ft facility with just one employee.
