Job Description This position exists to provide shipping/receiving and mail functions for the Brainerd Campus, including but not limited to processing all incoming/outgoing shipments and mail, accurately inputting and tracking college assets and inventory, generating requisitions and purchase orders, monitoring and tracking college contracts, and performing cashiering, customer service, and administrative functions for the Bookstore and Business Services.
Required Qualifications Skills in math sufficient to calculate, review, and reconcile financial data and balance accounts. Ability to accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data. Customer service skills sufficient to answer questions politely via phone, email, and other written or electronic correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of automated and manual record keeping systems sufficient to receive, record, and track inventory and supplies. Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing (such as Microsoft Word) and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Excel), sufficient to create and modify a variety of basic documents. Knowledge of office procedures, methods, and equipment sufficient to input and access information in computer systems, assemble and complete documents, and produce reports. Knowledge of purchasing procedures sufficient to process requisitions and purchase orders. Knowledge of retail store practices and procedures. Knowledge of federal and state postal regulations sufficient to process all types of mail. Understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written directions while possessing time management skills sufficient to organize workload, maintain accuracy and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of MinnState accounting system. Demonstrated high level of cultural competency and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with CLC's Culture of Caring environment. Other Requirements Physical Requirements Ability to move and/or transport up to 50 lbs. routinely on a regular basis. Ability to maintain a stationary position for extended periods of time. Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a forklift – training will be provided.
