Responsibilities
• Interpret construction drawings with basic mathematic ability• Complete work assignments using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, shipyard procedures and shop machinery• Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of all light gage metalwork• Perform joiner work, fabricate nonstructural bulkhead doors and stainless steel trim• Work in restricted/confined spaces• Located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Collaborative team environment• Meet organizational goals• Available to work all shifts
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Ability to work at heights, confined spaces, and extreme temperature conditions• Possess own basic hand tools• Preferred: Sheetmetal/metal fabrication experience and/or sheetmetal training• Preferred: Experience in construction industry or manufacturing environment• Preferred: Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs• Preferred: Military/Navy experience• Preferred: Automotive/auto body or HVAC experience
