The ideal candidate will operate a sheeter machine to cut the rolls into sheets of the specified board size and standard quality.
On the Job training is provided as you learn the machinery.
Summary
Set sheeter for correct size stock to be cut according to the job ticket. Prepare rolls for machine, maintain machine and machine area.
Primary Responsibilities Set roll stand Verify correct size of sheet. Verify that the sheet is square. Follow all plant processes and plant standard operating procedures including FSC, SFI, PEFC and AIB requirements. Forestry Chain of Custody (COC) Abides by quality standard guidelines, works to improve in the process. Maintain the press in a safe operating condition. Maintain the press in good working order through preventative maintenance. Knowledge, Skill, Ability Requirements Education, experience, effort applied Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull are carry objects High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the folding carton industry. Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and verbal instructions in English for Safety, ISO, and work related tasks. Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, or employees of organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
