Plumbing Service Technician Comfort Systems USA MidAtlantic, LLC is a leading building and service provider for HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing building systems. We are currently looking to add an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to our team! The Plumbing Service Technician performs maintenance, installations, retrofits and repair of environmental plumbing systems while following the five core values of Comfort Systems USA:
Be Safe. Be Honest. Be Respectful. Be Innovative. Be Collaborative. Plumbing Service Technician Responsibilities include: Perform daily job hazard evaluations. Service, diagnose, gas, electric & tankless water heaters Backflow Preventer Installations, Repair and Certification Video inspection for leaks detection and repair Ice machine replacement, service, and sanitation Knowledge of line freezing services and machinery Perform the installation, inspection, maintenance, service, and repair of all plumbing systems including, but not limited to, valves, sinks, faucets, drinking fountains, water jetting, trenching, floor/roof drains, and all associated piping Maintain equipment by inspecting for signs of wear, scheduling and completing preventive maintenance work Maintain vehicles by keeping record of service manuals, scheduling and completing repair and maintenance services Work with various Service Department employees to prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary. Identifies, analyzes, and repairs equipment at customers' locations Reads blueprints or engineering specifications Uses a variety of hand tools, power tools and computer software Present options to customers in a clear and concise manner The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, but candidates who do not meet all of these, but are looking for their next career opportunity and enjoy learning are encouraged to apply still. 5+ years Commercial Plumbing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses are preferred, not required Must have knowledge of various Plumbing products, systems, electronics, and controls Ability to read, analyze and interpret service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, and equipment specifications Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers and other service personnel Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variable Ability to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
