Duties and Responsibilities A day in the life: Our commercial handyman would possess a strong background in various construction trades and be proficient in a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. As an Commercial Handyman, you would be responsible for non-mechanical maintenance and repairs at a customer facility. This position routinely performs maintenance and repairs on concrete, drywall, ceramic and vinyl tile, and other customer fixtures.
On a given day, as a Commercial Handyman, you will:
Traveling 5 days at a time out of state with overnight travel. Perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks for our commercial properties, including but not limited to carpentry, painting, and drywall. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, implement effective solutions to ensure the project is completed efficiently. Utilize mobile elevated work platforms to achieve access to hard-to-reach areas for repair. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each task using company computer systems. Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Uphold a professional and customer-oriented demeanor when interacting with customers. Drive to and from sites at times alone, day or night, with a company vehicle. Adhere to company work safety policies. Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned Schedule & Travel: This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, predominantly on the third shift. This is a traveling position that will be on the road 95% of the time. The company covers all travel expenses, lodging, and food after the first meal while traveling.

The qualified candidate we seek is a Commercial Handyman with these QUALIFICATIONS: A current and valid driver's license with auto insurance. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial handyman or in related trades, showcasing a diverse skill set. Ability to sometimes lift heavy objects and frequently walk and stand for long periods of time. Good manual dexterity and multi-coordination Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from experienced professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Professional attitude and a strong customer service orientation. And these COMPETENCIES: Multiskilled Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in a variety of construction trades, including carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and more. Attention to Detail: Commitment to producing high-quality work, paying close attention to small details, and ensuring that repairs and installations meet industry standards. Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose issues accurately, troubleshoot effectively, and implement practical solutions in a timely manner. Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in using a wide range of tools, equipment, and materials relevant to commercial maintenance and repair tasks. Time Management: Skill in prioritizing tasks, managing workloads, and meeting deadlines to ensure efficient completion of projects. Record Keeping: Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks using company computer systems or other documentation methods. Initiative: Willingness to take ownership of tasks, make proactive recommendations, and contribute positively to the maintenance and improvement of properties. Professionalism: Upholds a professional demeanor, exhibiting reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Additional Qualifications Desired: Basic knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Able to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds or less. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Able to stand and sometimes be in awkward posture positions for extended periods of time.
