Job Description
Job Title: Service Manager
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus Bonus ($5,000 - $20,000)


Will consider Relocation candidates and cover relocation costs.

Job Description:


As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the service department's operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of equipment maintenance and repair. Drawing upon your previous experience with John Deere equipment, you will lead a team of skilled technicians and service advisors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Team Leadership:


Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of service technicians and advisors.


Assign work tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.


Foster a positive and cooperative work atmosphere, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement. Customer Service:


Ensure prompt and efficient resolution of customer inquiries, issues, and complaints.


Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.


Implement strategies to enhance the overall service experience and exceed customer expectation.
Service Operations Management:


Oversee the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.


Monitor service performance metrics, such as repair turnaround time and first-time fix rate, and implement improvement plans as needed.


Collaborate with other departments to optimize service processes, streamline operations, and ensure efficient equipment maintenance and repair.
Technical Expertise:


Utilize your in-depth knowledge and experience with John Deere equipment to provide technical support to the service team.


Stay updated on the latest industry trends, product knowledge, and service procedures through continuous learning and training. Budgeting and Financial Management:


Develop and manage the service department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.


Monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability, implementing strategies to maximize service department performance.


Identify opportunities for upselling and promoting service contracts to drive additional revenue. Qualifications:


Previous experience as a Service Manager, preferably in the agricultural machinery industry, with specific knowledge of John Deere equipment.


Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.


Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on building and maintaining positive relationships


Technical expertise and familiarity with the repair and maintenance of agricultural equipment, particularly John Deere products.


Proven ability to manage service operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and performance tracking.


Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


Proficient in using computer systems and software for service management and reporting.


A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Salary and Benefits:


The salary range for the Service Manager position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, a performance-based bonus ranging from $5,000 - $20,000 may be awarded based on individual and departmental performance.
