As the Service Director, you will lead the Electrification Service team in the West US region, which comprises of 18 states across five time zones. You will be responsible for P&L results with full accountability of running the day-to- day operations, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Your responsibilities Responsible for end-to-end service execution and performance within the Hub / Large BU. Management member in the organization area Participate in development and lead the execution of the Services growth strategy Responsible for building strong long-term relationships with specific customers within the region. Lead efforts to ensure customer service excellence Full regional P&L responsibility Responsible for fulfillment 5 (HSE, quality, cost, cycle, profit) Responsible for overall business management duties for assigned Field Service Engineers Work with resource mgmt. team to optimize capacity and utilization Implement Operation Safety Policy Instructions, conduct field work in compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices Work closely with region sales leaders to ensure appropriate sales strategy, coverage and opportunities to achieve the services orders plan for region Interface regularly with the Services Product Line Leader to review the progress of regional growth initiatives and participate in the development of new service offerings Provide accurate and timely information to assigned personnel regarding salary planning, performance appraisals, career coaching and disciplinary action as required Assist people in their pursuit of developmental opportunities by providing guidance tools, suggestions, information, contacts and learning opportunities to meet the individual's career goals Collaborate with regional hub to accomplish safe & effective support of region customer service objectives Perform collateral duties as assigned to meet business needs as they relate to HSE, Quality, Integrity, etc. Work cross functionally with QA, Technology, and Product Line Management to develop, implement, and execute on closed loop quality feedback as it relates to field issue, product issues, service interruptions, and customer complaints Implement and manage continuous improvement as it relates to customer satisfaction (TNPS)surveys and results Your background Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (MBA or advanced engineering degree preferred) Minimum 15 years of basic/theoretical/technical, and/or service experience Minimum 8 years of operational experience (including business analysis and forecasting) Knowledge of financial controls and business tracking system Ability to define & lead change Ability to influence multiple stakeholders Ability to energize teams through inclusiveness and connection with people Ability to build trust by respecting the ideas and contributions of everyone Ability to manage effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Team or matrix leadership experience Strong business acumen and commercial savvy Strong customer service mindset Effective team contributor and member Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions Familiarity with project labor and material quoting tools Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Healthcare plan Wellbeing program More about us ABB Electrification Services empowers smarter business operations by connecting equipment, software, and services to protect, control, and optimize assets within electrical infrastructures.
