As the Senior Weld Lead , your primary responsibility for daily supervision of all welding operations within the given facility. This position requires high level of communication.

Some your daily responsibilities as the Senior Weld Lead would be: Provide daily work direction to welding personnel Detailed understanding of welding processes knowledge of AWS D1.1 code and shop capabilities Coordinate orders with management and purchasing departments for welding / shop supplies Ensure QC processes and procedures are adhered to Ability to accurately read / interpret blueprints and weld symbols Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logs - hoists and weld machines Coordinate equipment repairs as needed Isolved approvals Preparing employee performance review's Documenting any work place related injuries and communicating with Safety Director What are we looking for in a great Senior Weld Lead?
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Welding AAS Degree 2 years weld experience 1 year of leadership experience Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, crawl, and be on feet for 8+ hours per work day Many tasks include their own work and / or the reviews of work of others in the department.
