About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President/SVP, Business Development, who will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new strategic opportunities. This senior professional will be tasked with executing the company's partnering strategy, running partnership discussions, and building effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and potential partner companies. The role involves directing transaction activities, including due diligence, negotiating term sheets, and collaborating with various internal teams to ensure the success of partnerships.The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 15 years of experience in business development, with an advanced degree (PhD, MD, or MBA) preferred. They must possess a significant aptitude for complex scientific discussions and have a substantial deal sheet that includes both buy-side and sell-side transactions. A deep understanding of due diligence, asset valuation, and portfolio management is essential, along with strong analytical, financial modeling, project leadership, and communication skills. The candidate should be able to generate high-value ideas, work collaboratively, and have an entrepreneurial, result-oriented attitude with high integrity.
