What you will do: The Senior Technician will perform a variety of technical duties using the appropriate standard practices required in the area. This role requires working knowledge of scientific and/or laboratory techniques. Also, a working knowledge of standard test & measurement equipment and practices are required. The Senior Technician will work under limited supervision, follow general direction for work and may have full responsibility for minor projects. The Senior Technician will provide technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks. The Senior Technician will develop and recommend procedures and methods and prepare technical reports and documentation. In this role, you will provide technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action. All responsibilities are within the Technical Specialty/Skilled Trade Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
Performs tasks requiring considerable judgment in determining work methods and interpreting results Document and record test data in compliance with quality requirements and compare results against predetermined limits Assist engineers in evaluating and improving designs or processes Provide direction or training to interns, contract technicians or lower-level technicians Construct and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment and software tools Build and test mechanical models, electrical circuits and assemblies, software, and/or perform basic analyses requiring knowledge of scientific and/or laboratory techniques Assist in project planning and budgeting Troubleshoot and fault isolate equipment Adhere to environmental and safety procedures associated with lab processes and procedures Perform other related duties as required What you need: High School Diploma 3+ years of applicable technical experience Preferred: Associate degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent education in an associated discipline, or equivalent military training such as avionics, radar, power systems, electronics, etc. Proficient with test and measurement equipment, and computer skills including office software applications Medical device test experience Experience working in a highly regulated environment Proficient troubleshooting skills Strong understanding of electrical, electronic circuit and measurement fundamentals Certifications for basic skills such as soldering Proficient use of basic data analysis tools Notable Working Conditions: Office and laboratory environments, including electronic test equipment, machinery, tools and environmental equipment High Voltage May require movement of objects (up to 30 pounds)1% to 2% travel may be required Occasional overtime required $31.41 –$43.46 per hour plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
