We are proud to be part of Wizards of the Coast which is a division of Hasbro.We are looking for a skilledSenior Technical Artistwith a strong passion for collaborating with artists and developers to refine the pipelines and techniques that will deliver our AAA vision.What You'll Do:Develop custom workflows using scripts and coded tools solutions in support of environment, level-design, VFX, and asset teamsFacilitate asset pipeline improvements including material authoring, auditing, and identifying performance inefficienciesBuild and maintain procedural asset placement workflows using Houdini, and Unreal PCGSupport the development of VFX systems using Houdini, Chaos, and NiagaraIntegrate and maintain lighting solutions for environment and gameplayMaintain the integrity of art pipelines by identifying inefficiencies then recommending and implementing improvementsFacilitate technical art communication across teams by providing clear and constructive feedback and mentorshipCollaborate with a distributed and diverse team to promote innovation and refine the visual quality of our gamesAlign artists around technical standards for asset creationTroubleshoot and help resolve challenges through technical solutionsWhat You'll Bring:Experience in environment workflows and processes including lighting, VFX, asset creation, and procedural placementAdvanced knowledge in physically-based material systems and modern rendering techniquesExperience developing in a AAA, real-time game engineA strong background in driving optimization and performance while understanding limitations of various platformsDeep understanding of lighting, VFX, and material pipelines in a real-time engineExperience developing bi-directional workflows between DCC packages and real-time game enginesScripting abilities in Python, C#, Blueprint or otherPassion for making and playing gamesEnthusiastic, positive, team-oriented; must have the ability to interact and collaborate with all departments and teamsSelf-sufficient and self-motivated, can perform duties with little oversightNice to Have:Shipped a title in Unreal EngineExperience working with Unreal Engine 5 systems like TSR, Nanite, and LumenPrevious development on large, open environment gamesCompensation Range, Currency USD:Starting Pay Range: $130,640Pay Range End: $216,480We are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action EmployerThe above is intended to describe the general content of and the requirements for satisfactory performance in this position.
