What You'll Do:
Lead technical development of projects with oversight
Manage technical aspects of project delivery
Take ownership of code and constructability issues on projects
Lead coordination of deliverables with limited oversight
Engage in team training to address identified QC issues
Manage production team within project scope and budget
Identify out-of-scope items and address them promptly
Contribute to consultant system selection
Mentor and train staff, playing an active role in their development
Participate in the development of project technical specifications
Perform Construction Administration per AIA A201 requirements
Assist with construction costing, scheduling, and phasing
Lead implementation of sustainable design practices
Proactively seek technical design solutions and value engineering options
Produce documents meeting technical requirements for constructability and code compliance
Ensure coordination and clarity in document sets
Support and enhance design intent through your work
Minimize technical issues in the field
Advance technical expertise within the studio
Participate in professional development related to building systems, material selection, and life cycle costs
Engage with industry-related trade groups
Demonstrate awareness of risk mitigation strategies
Requirements:
We're looking for someone who possesses:
Minimum 15 years of experience in Architecture or related field
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
Demonstrated strength in technical design within assigned market
Effective people management skills
Professional licensure or certification
LEED AP accreditation or equivalent
Strong knowledge base
Experience in project documentation
Proficiency in building codes interpretation
Ability to select and integrate building systems
Alignment with MG2 Practice Values: Integrated Approach, Design Excellence, Social Responsibility, Leadership, and Results

National Salary Range: $105,000-$149,000
